555 E Street is a 12 story mixed-use building wrapping three sides at the end of an urban block. The Citizen+M hotel activates the North side and cantilevers over the sidewalk. The balance of the site is occupied by ground floor retail, residential lobby. Senior living apartments occupy the lower floors and complement the market rate apartments above, amenity spaces are articulated on the second floor and roof.

The design of this distinctive floor of hotel rooms and suites blends a series of neutral materials such as grey granite, felt and cement board set against a more luxurious pallet of silk curtains, glass and luminous colored acrylic – blue for the North facing rooms and yellow for the South facing rooms. This design was part of a unique project included some of the worlds foremost architects, the façade was design by Jean Nouvel, the lobby by John Pawson, The bar by Mark Newsom, Restaurant by Chritian Liaigre and other floors by Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Arata Isozaki among others.

The public spaces of this 12 story Upper West Side Prewar Co-op building were updated by CAS. The work included all new lighting, fire rated wood doors at all apartment entries, wallpaper, carpet and gfrg ceiling coves that incorporate space and access for cable management.
